A couple of weeks later my parents flew over to Vancouver for my graduation. They had never been to the Rockies too so we decided to head over again. Since I was the lone driver this time, I decided to break the drive down into 2 portions in order to limit driver fatigue (on me). The first half of the drive consisted of leaving Vancouver in the morning and arriving in Revelstoke by evening. Turns out my estimation was kinda off and we arrived in Revelstoke way too early at 330pm. We ended up spending the rest of the time sleeping and eating at a Denny’s.

Plan:
Friday - Banff and Lake Louise
Saturday - Columbia Icefields, then the drive up to Jasper
Sunday - Drive back to Calgary
The Icefields Parkway is one of the most scenic drives I have ever driven. Stretching from just north of Lake Louise to Jasper, it threads its way through the Rocky Mountains for hundreds of kilometers. The entire route is packed with scenic viewpoints, wildlife and amazing vistas.
Check out this lake!
