Fantastic opening to 24’s Season 5 over the past 2 days. Having the luxury of enjoying 4 episodes over 2 nights is really nice, now I’ll have to wait a week for each hour of 24 goodness. Another thing that I have gotten used to is watching shows without commericals since I tend to get them off Bittorrent instead of watching them on TV; not to mention the fact that I get the proper widescreen HDTV version too.
SPOILER ALERT! If you don’t want to know more about the season premiere, look away!
Things that caught my eye so far:
- Chloe sleeping with Spencer, Edgar must be pissed!
- David Palmer’s assasination in the first 5 mins (Yes I know it was leaked but I only found out after the show)
- Michelle Dessler getting blown up… I assume Tony Almeida is gonna make it through, poor guy
- Jack using a cell phone to blow up a terrorist… good job!
- Lynn McGill (Sean Astin from LOTR) taking over from Bill Buchanan at CTU, kinda anyway
I’m already counting down to next Monday… I can’t wait!

I can’t believe this show is still on the air. Five seasons?!? It’s unbelievable. I hope poor Jack gets to spend the other 364 days per year lounging on a tropical island with a pina colada in his hand.
Well for this season I think he has been spending the past year working on some oil rig contraption out of the hot California sun. Poor guy, at last count he has killed close to 100 people in 5 days.
