Weighted lists are a seriously smart idea. Not only do they provide the reader with a list of items, be it tags, categories or whatever, they also allow the user to instantly know how popular or common a certain item is.

Having seen it on pretty much every Web 2.0 site (Flickr, 43Things etc), I thought it might be a good idea to try to find a solution for Wordpress. A quick search on the K2 forums reveals an elegant and simple solution by weisheng. It consists of a single plugin, some PHP code on the sidebar and CSS to make it look pretty.
