mindless ramblings

Angola are becoming more and more confident by the minute at their first World Cup. Singaporean referee Shamsul Maidin took charge of the goaless draw they eked out against Mexico. He didn’t send anyone off this time, and only gave out 6 yellow cards (5 to the Angolans though). With the amount of improvement shown since their tense first minutes against Portugal, I wouldn’t be surprised if they actually score their first World Cup goal or even win their final match against Iran.

No real surprises in the other group game too, as Portugal came out 2-0 winners against Iran thanks to goals by Deco and Cristiano Ronaldo. Hopefully this will be the best World Cup yet for the country, especially with most of the “Golden Generation” already in their thirties.
