England vs Ecuador
England made their way to the Quarter Finals but they did it unconvincingly. A David Beckham trademark set piece goal was all that seperated the two teams. England never looked confident in their entire performance and they’ll need more than luck to get them through the Quarter Finals.

Portugal vs Netherlands
This game would have been better had the referee not gone absolutely bonkers. He showed a total of 4 red cards and 16 yellow cards in a game that even Sepp Blatter mentioned that the referee should gotten a yellow card for his performance. In between all the cards and free kicks, Portugal got the win via a Maniche shot in the 23rd minute. This was a game between two evenly matched teams that could have gone either way, and the Dutch will be disappointed to miss out on the Quarter Finals. At least its better than not even qualifying for the tournament like for 2002.

If England continute to play like what they have done so far, they should be easy pickings for Portugal… even without the suspended Costinha and playmaker Deco.
