We had tickets to go to catch A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as part of Bard on the Beach last Friday, and you have to get there early if you want good seats (first come first serve). Keeping that in mind, a quick lunch at Go Fish was perfect for the occasion!
We had the usual hailbut and chips (as good as ever), and a scallop burger. To be exact, it was a emperor scallop burger with a tempura onion, served on a Portuguese bun. If you don’t feel like fried fish, try the burgers… you won’t be disappointed! They also had a salmon steak as one of the daily specials which looked stunning, but there is so much I can eat so it’ll have to wait till next time.
Going there late is pretty good. It isn’t as crowded as during the lunch rush, and that makes parking, ordering, waiting and eating just that much more relaxed. Just remember that they close at 630pm!
The play was fantastic too. Great location, great acting and some really funny ad-libbing in the traditional summertime Shakespeare play make it well worth the $29.50… go catch it if you haven’t!
